Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:  · What is an example of a situation from your professional or personal life that requires you to compare, understand, and make decisions based on quantitative comparison? Be sure to describe the types of quantitative comparisons you had to make, what decisions you made, and why. · Would your decision be different if you had the benefit of learning this week’s concepts? Why or why not? Respond to the following in a minimum of 75 words: Susan Stalcup I actually make decisions based on quantitative comparisons daily. I am a high school cafeteria manager and I have to decide how much food to cook for the students daily. I typically use my production reports to generate a forecast report to see just how many of an item that we served on any given day, that way I am able to determine how much of that item we should make the next time. For example, two weeks ago we served 423 servings of breaded cheese sticks and 419 servings of pancakes and sausage on the main serving lines. Today we had the same menu so I needed to decide how much of each item needed to be prepared, and we made 425 servings of each of the items. I do not want to have a lot of leftovers and I certainly do not want to run out of anything on my serving lines. Another thing I have to figure out is how much milk (chocolate and white) as well as food to purchase weekly. (we get a milk order on Tuesdays and Thursdays) last week I had ordered a little more than normal because I noticed that the students were taking more chocolate milk. Today when the milk man came, he said he just knew that I was going to have a lot of milk left from last week, however, to his surprise we only had a tiny bit left. I really try to keep track our our numbers to limit an waste due to spoilage. I do not believe my decisions would be any different based on the items that I have reviewed this week. I plan on continuing to compare my daily amounts from previous days to ensure the correct amount of food/milk is ordered as well as served to our students. Kyle Barnett For this week's discussion, I had to really think about when and where I have used quantitative comparison and one example kept popping up in my head that happened at work a couple of weeks ago. To give you guys a little back story. I work at a company called RUAG where we make ammo for pretty much everything. I work with 5 pellet machines for air rifles and threw out the whole day the machines produce pellets and at the end of my shift I have to write in a book how many pellets were made. Then I have to book that number into a computer. Well, the company hired a new man for the other shift where I work and for a little over a month he kept forgetting to write down how much pellets he made on his shift and when he did write it down in the book, he forgot to book it in the computer. Then the boss came to me and said "Kyle it is your job to figure out roughly how many pellets your co-worker has made over this time span". First thing I did was add up all the pellets I have made for the last 20 days (5 day work week) then divide it by 20 and got my average. I figured this would work because it would be close to his average and then I filled in the rest of the book and added up all the pellets for the month and turned that number into the boss.

It can be said that I was buying pens for my brother and there were ma
inly 2 options that were provided by the retail bookseller such as 1) 50 pens were @ 20 currencies as well as the second option was 100 pens @ 35 currency.
Throwing light on the above-mentioned discussion it can be said that this is a simple quantitative comparison where one option was selected. The second option was selected because the average cost @ currency per pen was lower when contrasted with the first one. Therefore, the second option was selected where there were small savings per pen as well as it is one of...
