Introduction
Scholarly research has
several components that doctoral level aspirants need to pursue. The recognition of the qualified sources is the first point to initiate the process of research. The following is an analysis of the validation and significance of the research sources as well as the responsibility of the students in order to meet the requisites of the research outcomes. The examination of the same is expanded towards the importance of communication and its proper establishment in the process of research.
Scholarly Research and Synthesis
At first, it is significant to note here that in the process of pursing doctoral programs, scholarly research and its synthesis is one of the core components to be accomplished by the scholars. To define scholarly research, it is the initiation of the process, where the well-qualified sources for the research topic, are identified and listed (Halevi et al., 2017). The criteria of scholarly research are not limited to one database; the researchers have to look for the several databases and scholarly studies that are published in the last five years. Obsolete studies are not counted as a part of the scholarly research because they tend to present the outdated status or data, which is of no use to the current topics especially in the context of scientific studies. The research outcomes are the selection of the suitable and relevant peer reviewed journal articles, which are written and published by the experts of their respective fields. One of the main standpoints in the process of identification is to ensure that the source publisher of the article is a reputable journal (Fusch et al., 2018).
Further, it is important to use the sources in validating the claims made by the researcher because the sources affirm the claims by having relevant information that supports the claim. In other words, the claims established by a research process need evidence from the previous studies and it can be done by having credible sources to be added to the list (Halevi et al., 2017). What makes this validation, an essential ingredient for research claim, is the evidence and support taken from the studies. It is more like putting the sources in a list within the premise of the research itself. The claims made and established by the experts in the past few years, five years in particular, are reputable enough to reach to a common consensus about the present research topic and its outcomes (Fusch et al., 2018).
Additionally, synthesis of the selected studies is another important factor that determines the quality of the research process. It is the process, in which multiple sources are selected, filtered and they are compared or contrasted with a view to find commonalities in their research courses. Most often, there is a literature review section in every research process where the previous studies that are the most relevant ones are examined and they are tested for their strengths and weaknesses for supporting the selected research topic (Halevi et al., 2017). In other words, a connection is seen and tried out by the researchers when they seek investigation of the selected sources. Synthesis is important in the process of...
