Introduction
The review
of the literature is the chapter of the thesis where the author describes the whole work on the basis of the existing literature survey. The whole research is based on this chapter only. This chapter provides the pillar of the study or research. A literature review is associated with secondary research. The basis of any research proposal is dependent on the existing researches on that particular topic. Thus, a survey of the existing literature has much significance. Moreover, the author gains a vast knowledge of the concerned topic by knowledge of the existing articles. A thorough review is very much important for any secondary research (Fossati, 2017). The current topic 'determinants of effective coverage of maternal and child health care services in Indonesia' depicts the financing strategies, innovative ways, assessment of the quality of work, and assessment of maternal and newborn health of the health care system of the country. These are discussed below.
Financing strategies of healthcare
The strategies have been changing on the reduction of maternal mortality since 1987. The birth support was guided by the attendant. Thus, the development of a skilled attendant was one of the major strategies undertaken during the 1990s. The Government initiated village programs to call upon the housewives so that they could get proper education on childbirth. Many of the non-government organizations were noticed to be involved in this process of awareness programs. They provided enough funding for awareness programs (Mulyanto et al., 2019). They also collaborated on the equipment, drugs, and many other activities. The strategies included less invasive surgical protocols so that normal delivery could be guided by equipment and drugs. The funding agency distributed pamphlets, spread slogans in public, and also in television channels. They distributed drugs as procedurals for the women who might have tough or difficult labor suggested by the doctors. They organized campaigns for routine check-ups of the mothers for gestational diseases. The diseases included gestational diabetes, pre-gestational diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, pre-eclampsia, and eclampsia, many of the deaths have been caused by eclampsia (Harapan et al., 2017). Magnesium sulfate was distributed among them so that they could deliver healthy infants.
Innovative ways in the healthcare system
The innovative ways of raising awareness among the patients were based on the service utilization or proper distribution of labor. There were a number of individuals active in providing the best care. However, there was a lack of experience in this particular area. Thus, most of them remained silent or did not involve in healthcare. The scheme utilization of proper distribution involved the...
