An organisation can be a business, charity, association, not-for-profit enterprise or government body. You may select your own organisation (for example, your own business or one you plan to start); an organisation you have access to, such as a business owned by a friend or family; or your current employer. Alternatively, you can create a hypothetical organisation for the purpose of this assessment.   Prior to commencing this assessment task, you may discuss your chosen organisation with your trainer. Part A: Review existing policy and establish need for policy development This task will require you to review and establish needs for policy development for an organisation/a workplace. Identify what the needs are regarding the work and safety policy for your chosen organisation / workplace by completing the following 1. Identify and analyse the organisation’s (or workplace) current Work and Safety policy. (If you have created a hypothetical organisation for the purposes of this assignment, please use the policy attached – Appendix A). 2. Identify one internal or external element which would mean you are likely to have to change the policy in the future. Describe how this element will impact on the policy The internal elements of putting too much pressure on dress code is something that I would like to change; this pushes the employees to their limits to wear formals. Dress should not be linked to the kind of language used in the organizational premises. On external level, I would like to apply separate policies of safety for visitors and for employees. The employees have to remain in the organisational premises for a longer duration, if compared to visitors, therefore, they need more precautions and workplace related safety measures. 3. List 3 stakeholders that you can consult with in relation to the internal or external factors and describe how they can contribute. 4 | P a g e I would prefer consulting with employees and owners about the internal and external factors mentioned above. At third place, I would see the impact of the changed policy over the community people appearing in organization as visitors. 4. The policy development plan is made in order to set out the policy of planning in order to guide the development such as employment and housing while including the stakeholders. However it also restrains the development and special areas such as a special protection area. The first step includes the requirements of research policy according to the procedures of organisation which includes the action of suggestions in developing the political aspect. The due date taken for this is 1 week. Next is to make draft listing policy and organising them with stakeholders’ workshop (Molyneaux and Foster 2020).
