Your task Evaluate project performance in the initiation, planning and execution stages, utilising project management software. Assessment Description. In this individual assessment, students will be given an opportunity to evaluate project management software for overall project performance and compliance with quality standards. Assessment Instructions • Evaluate 5 current project management software options and explain the benefits and shortcomings of each. • Explain how the software addresses the requirements of the 3 stages of a project plan, as stated in the brief above. • Use screenshots of the software examples you have chosen to assist in explaining your opinions. • Prepare slides as if presenting, although you will only be handing in a presentation. Place your full set of notes in the ‘notes’ areas relevant to your slide headings. 2,000 words. • There will be additional information which gives a fuller description of the assessment requirements along with KBS presentation guidelines. Introduction
In today’s era of digital age, the technology has become a basic requirement of every people. People are now using and fulfilling their needs in a very efficient manner through the help of technology. With the influence among the people, the companies are now also adopting the project management software to solve their problems. As suggested by Meredith, Mantel Jr and Scott (2017), to cater the organisational needs like from decision-making process of a project to the final execution, the organisations need to take the help of the software. While solving the complex problems of the organisational operations the software are also helping in establishing the global communication, which helps the organisation to function in a proper way. The following project will highlight the leading software and their benefits, shortcomings and their use in the three phase planning process will be discussed.
Five Project Management Software
Wimi
Wimi is an integrated project management software mainly solving the organisational problems through their plenty of available services (Wimi, 2020).
Advantages
Wimi is an integrated software, which provides a range of software solutions to the users. From a wide range of messaging services to the online file sharing, varied task management utilities, video conferencing with team leaders, and unlimited and free accessibility of guests, strong security software and also the inclusion of a range of mobile applications. For starters, the software is available for free with limited services provided. Then for Team software, the subscription amount is $15 per month and for Enterprise the price is $18 per month, both the prices are for single user (Wimi, 2020).
Disadvantages
Wimi has many benefits, however there are some shortcomings, which cannot be considered as negative points rather some suggestions that Wimi must look after and include in their future updates. The ability is to create shortcuts for files, URLs, or folders on computer to transfer the information from one project to another project. Besides, the access for users should also be eased (Ananny & Crawford, 2018).
Using this Software in the Three Stage Planning Process of Projects
The software provides a range of benefits to prepare a project plan. The software helps in preparing the layout of the project through the help of dashboards where the blueprint of the project can be done. With the messaging and online sharing facility the project can be discussed within the team members and also the video calling service can provide to work on the project in real time. Through the sharing facility the project can be discussed with the clients and thus before implementing the project everyone’s views can be taken care of so that no flaws remain in the project plan (Wimi, 2020).

Todo.vu is an integrated software for project management, integrated CRM, time tracking and many services for consultants and freelancers (Todo.vu, 2019).
Advantages
Todo.vu is an advanced software for the project management purpose. The software offers a range of benefits to the users mainly for business purpose. There is a real time communication system to interact with the team members so that the real time updates can be done and the targets are achieved on time. The software contains the CRM facilities as well as the task tracking facility to track the progress of the work. The software has custom labels, Google sheet integration, and calendar sync, access control to the clients to see their progress of work, and drag and drop facility to the Cloud software with the follow-up task facility (Todo.vu, 2019).
Disadvantages
