Consideration is the price given for supply of goods and services and also promises to pay the amount in exchange of goods or services. In Hospitality business contract price paid for accepting the hospitality services.
2. Describe (six) essential elements of a Hospitality business contract.
a) Legality: Contact should be legal. Only legal contracts are enforceable by law. Person who is able to enter into contract and valid activities are enforceable as legal contracts. Legal
ity of the contract consists of offer, consideration, acceptance and capacity. Services and goods supplied by the hospitality industry should be legal.
b) Offer: There must two or more of the parties should be involved to enforce the contract. There must be willingness to enter into the contract between the parties. Offer must be valid and should be accepted by the other party to the contract.
c) Consideration: There must be legal value to the contract, consideration can be in the form of monetary or the in kind. Contract is not enforceable without consideration to the contract. Hotel offers a specific rate for rental of room to the guest.
d) Acceptance: When one party makes the offer, the other party should accept the offer. Menu provided by the hotel should be accepted by the customer.
e) Capacity: The parties to the contract should have the capacity to enter the contract, like minor and insane persons are not able to enter into contract.
f) Future or Present Date: Contract is enforceable only if it is present or for the future date. Contracts cannot be entered for the past date.
3. List six (6) things to be aware of when entering or negotiating a hospitality business contract.
Before entering into hospitality contract below are the certain point which needs to be considered.
a) Cleanliness: The standards of the cleanliness should be high. Offering clean common areas are important and in the personal space. High hygiene standards are necessary are important in hospitality business.
b) Safety measures: Adequate safety and security measures for the people, by implementing technology. There are personalized safety and security measures and centralized safety and security both are important.
c) Internet: Hospitality industry has developed by leaps and bounds and internet has also become basic facility offered by this industry.
d) Comfortable living space: Hotels should provide all the required facilities as per the offer made.
e) Washroom: Required with good quality plumbing, clean water and should ensure no leakage.
f) Lighting: Adequate lighting arrangements in the personal rooms and in the common areas are required.

Refunds: Organizations should have separate departments for the complaints and providing fair compensation in the form of refunds. Complaints should be thoroughly handled and refund should be given as per the terms and conditions agreed upon at the time of offer.
Exchanges: If there is any faulty equipment which is provided to the customers, then the same needs to be replaced or exchanged, even if the same terms are not specified in the contract. As people cannot use faulty equipments.
Cancellations: Assess the terms on which orders are cancelled. If it is legitimate and as per the terms and conditions agreed upon then definitely the same should be cancelled. Every organization will have cancellation policy and certain amounts will be withheld before cancelling.

Food Safety Act’s objective is to ensure foods for sale is safe and good for the human consumption and as per the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code.
The Act covers all the business which sells and produces food, which includes egg and egg products, dairy products, meat and meat products, sea food and all other eatables.
