The mathematician in Calculus before Leibniz & Newton
Even though Leibniz and Newton are considered the founding fathers of calculus there was some mathematician who contributed to the development of calculus. It is true that Leibniz and Newton invented calculus but there were contributions in the development of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, Taylor series, and other aspects of Calculus before them. In this context, the contributions of Bhaskaracharya an Indian mathematician of the 12th century AD will be effectively discussed in this assignment. This particular mathematician predated Leibniz and Newton who made various refinements and extensions of works that are recognized today as derivatives and integrals. His works also reflect the preliminary notion of infinitesimals.   
Life & Contribution in Mathematics
Bhaskaracharya lived between 1114- 1185 AD was born in modern Karnataka of India. He presented an exceptional works of mathematical knowledge in the 12th century AD and served as the head of the astronomical observatory at Ujjain which was the leading mathematical center in ancient India.
