Also each student has to add a table of peer evaluation at the end of assessment to rate the contribution of peers. Assessment Title Assignment 2 - Network requirement analysis and plan Purpose of the assessment (with ULO Mapping) Main objective of this assignment is to enable student to understand networking devices, gather requirements for a given business case study and plan a network design. After successful completion of this assignment, students should be able to: a) Discuss the significance of internetworking for contemporary organisations. b) Explain human factors in achieving business and technical goals through planning and design d) Explain the current and future state of the internetworking infrastructure and its applications. e) Apply a process to support the administration and management of internetworking. Weight 30% of the total assessments Total Marks 65 Word limit N/A Due Date Week 11 ( 2022, 5:00pm), 6th February, 2022 Submission Guidelines  All work must be submitted on Moodle by the due date along with a completed Assignment Cover Page.  The assignment must be in MS Word format, 1.5 spacing, 11-pt Calibri (Body) font and 2 cm margins on all four sides of your page with appropriate section headings.  Reference sources must be cited in the text of the report, and listed appropriately at the end in a reference list using IEEE referencing style. Assignment 2 Description The assignment has following two parts: Part A – Network design and configuration based questions (45 Marks) Part B – Lecture contents related questions and answer (15 Marks) References (5 Marks) Part A: Business case study: Network design proposal for Staughton College Description Staughton College is a small college in the western suburb of Melbourne that is attended by about 200 full- and part-time students. The students do not live on campus. Approximately 30 professors teach courses in the fields of arts and humanities, business, social sciences, mathematics, computer science, the physical sciences, and health sciences. Many of the professors also have other jobs in the business community, and only about half of them have an office on campus. Approximately 25 administration personnel handle admissions, student records, and other operational functions. Enrolment at Staughton College is predicted to be doubled in the next few years. The faculty and administration staff has also needs to be doubled in size. Currently, the IT department consists of one manager, one server administrator, two network administrators, and two part-time student assistants. The director of College has consulted with your group to design a cost-effective network design that fulfils its needs. While giving them cost effective solution make sure you have listed all necessary servers, printer, and any other required system.
