Teams have been created and industry partners assigned to each team. The project spans for the first half of the semester, with Interview dates scheduled for Week 5 and a Written Report due week 7. Your objective is to conduct an interview with an industry partner in order to: 1. Uncover 3 challenges/issues within their organization, business, industry, etc. Your final report will explain what is currently happening at their organizations and propose recommendations and solutions on how to address the challenges discussed, along with implementation and evaluation strategies. Examples of challenges that could be addressed: international tourist demands, check-in procedures at a hotel front desk, social media reviews, working with international workforce, impact of COVID19 on the business, etc. 2. Guidelines for interview preparation to be completed and rehearsed as a team are as follows: 1. Contact industry partner to schedule an appointment for the Interview as soon as possible (Week 3 is ideal) and request/allow appropriate amount of time (i.e. 45 to 60 minutes). Ensure to reconfirm the date & time one day prior. 2. Submit your questions (reviewed and approved by faculty) to industry partner no later than 3 days prior to interview to allow them time to prepare adequately. 3. Determine the platform you will utilize to conduct the interview (i.e. Teams, Collaborate, Zoom) and send link for access to industry partner and each member of your team no later than one day prior (in your confirmation note or email). 4. Ensure to record the interview and advise the industry partner when you start the recording. The recording will be a good tool to review the responses and dialogue when preparing your report. Beginning of interview must include professional greetings, introduction of each team member and thank you for industry partner’s time. 6.
