The article or news story should be from a creditable source (i.e. news article/story, journal or case study). The Scope The paper should be 4-5 pages (not including the title or works cited pages) in length and should follow APA guidelines. This paper should include an introduction, body content and conclusion and should flow and read like an academic paper. The Content You’ll identify the main topic of the news item you have selected and provide a description of the event. Please do not rewrite the article but summarize the main points (problem, or overall issue) and detail why the issues arose and/or discuss important lessons about performance appraisals that HR professionals should know and practice. Introduction
Purpose of the Paper

The article "Employee empowerment, performance appraisal quality and performance" is based on the empirical analysis of the performance appraisal systems that are evident in the different companies. The performance appraisal systems are dependent on the four quality dimensions including trust, clarity, communication and fairness has been discussed deliberately in this article. This article mediates the importance of performance management appraisal in the context of employee motivation and in the management of the performance of the employees (Baird, Tung & Su, 2020). The role of the managers in the lower level staff is also included in terms of their efficiency exhibited and their impact on the performance appraisal within the company. This article further elaborates on the strategies that are generally implemented by the different companies in order to augment the overall performance appraisal of the employees as well as the development of linear relationships with the staff for enhanced levels of motivation and understanding.
Background
    This article formally establishes its importance in terms of the survey that has been undertaken by the researcher in order to establish the overall efficiency of the data that has been collected for the research. The development of the hypothesis has been the other relevant parameter in this research that has been established with reference to the literary findings pertaining to the topic from the previous studies (Baird, Tung & Su, 2020). The literature review has been made with the theoretical relationship between the different variables and their according hypothesis has been developed. The results and its validity has been established through the use of the Harman’s Test (1967) and the Common Latent Factor (CLF) test.
