Erik has provided the comprehensive tutorials online to demonstrate the basics of building an ASP.NET Web Forms application using ASP.NET 4.5 and Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2013 for Web (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/aspnet/web-forms/overview/getting-started/getting-started-with-aspnet- 45-web-forms/create-the-project). A Visual Studio project with C# source code is available to download directly from Microsoft. You are required to carefully study the sample Wingtip Toys source codes to complete your assignment and project. There are three compulsory components of Assignment and Project:  Part 1 Assignment – Getting Started with Visual Studio IDE – 5 marks (due by Week 2)  Part 2 Assignment - Installation of Wingtip Toys – 10 marks (due by Week 4)  Part 3 Assignment - Presentation Tier – 10 marks (due by Week 6)  Part 4 Project - Information Tier – 10 marks (due by Week 9)  Part 5 Project - Getting Started with MVC – 5 marks (due by Week 11)  Part 6 Project - Advanced Features – 10 marks (due by Week 12) Marking will be based on implementation, coding and quality. Late (within one week) demonstration will attract 50% penalty. No-show, late submission (more than one week) or duplicated submission will be received zero (0) mark. Part 1: Getting Started with Visual Studio IDE (5 marks due by Week 2) It is provided in a separate document. Double-click on inside the C# directory to launch Visual Studio 2013. Then press F5 to run the website. Submission: upload your source codes folder (as .zip file) and ID_Part2.docx on VU Collaborate. Part 3: Presentation Tier (10 marks Due by Week 6) You are required to customise your GUI (Graphical User Interface) to match your chosen online speciality store. It requires you:  to modify the Master page for the entire website o e.g. create a new company logo  to replace the existing categories by the new five categories matched to your products o e.g. locate the ‘categories’ table inside the database file under App_Data directory  to replace all the existing product images by the new speciality store products  to fill in appropriate contents for Home, About, Contact and Products web pages  to capture the above screens and save to a file called ID_Part3.docx  to demonstrate your work in the lab Submission: upload your source codes folder (as .zip file) and ID_Part3.docx on VU Collaborate. Part 4: Information Tier (10 marks Due by Week 9) You are required to modify “wingtiptoys.mdf” database to meet the product requirements of your specialty store. In summary, you need to:  to update your Products table inside the database  to centralise your ‘Shopping Cart’ web page  to change the caption of ‘Product List’ page according to product category o e.g. when a user click on ‘Planes’, it should show Planes instead of Products at the top of the product list.
