Module 10: Assignment: Final Project Instructions This week, you will submit your final project. The final project is due on Sunday by 11:59 PM CT and can be submitted here. Note: If you are working in a group, every member should submit their report to the D2L assignment. The actual write-up of your project paper should be roughly three to seven pages, single spaced. The paper need not be organized exactly as described below, but it should be quite similar, since the outline below is fairly standard. · Abstract: This should summarize the paper and the goals of the work (required, approximately 250 - 500 words). · Introduction: Introduce the project and what you are trying to do. This may include some background. · Background: Depending on the project and how much background you want to include, you may want a separate background section. For example, this section may provide domain information for the domain that you are studying. If the domain is not complex, then this section may not be needed. · Developed Framework: Describe the framework developed for your project (this may include either data warehousing, data mining, or data dashboarding, or some combination of them). Describe the data sets, evaluation metrics, data mining algorithms used, the tools used, etc. There will usually be a subsection for each of the sub-topics just mentioned. · Results: Present the results and discussion. · Conclusion: Provide your conclusion (perhaps summarize your main results). Normally, it will also discuss limitations and avenues for future work. Module 10: Assignment: Final Project Instructions This week, you will submit your final project.
