Name of Course Delhi logo 1 Human Resource Law BUSI 367 Bringing a new Team Member On-board PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Completing this assignment provide students with the experience of identifying applicable legal requirements and designing the process to meet them related on-boarding an employee. TASK: Create an on-boarding packet that pulls together all of the necessary forms for a legal hiring of an at-will, hourly employee. This shall include a clear documentation of the type of employment relationship to be entered into. Packets should include all required federal and state filings, any required documents for required testing, such as background checks if necessary, and any documentation you will require for the relationship between the employee and the organization. The best projects will be comprehensive in curation of documents, provide a logical organization and complete instructions for administration of the packet by managers to new hires. The instructions should include links to any electronic sources of federal/state documents that are required. REQUIREMENTS: · Complete packet of documents to be completed with new employees during on boarding, including things such as employment eligibility, payroll withholdings, employment relationship documents, anything else you feel necessary. · Instructions for the manager to administer the packet to the employee, including an index of documents, timing of when they should be completed, and where they should be stored. · On boarding packet should be ready to present to the employee, in the way you would present it to the employee. · Administration guide ready to deploy with supervisors, including clear instructions for each document, with examples where beneficial. · Spelling: no spelling errors · Grammar: no grammar errors · Word Choice: verify that the words you use are the words you mean · References: full bibliography for all sources must be attached · Citations: May be MLA or APA, shall be end-note citations (Smith, p. 83) for every claim or assertion of principle; facts of the case will obviously not have a citation. · Include citations to web sites for forms, however give the correct citation to the source. · Submissions shall be on Vancko Hall. Students will be creating work suitable for deployment in live Human Resource settings and all projects should represent their best efforts. WHO: Students may work individually or in pairs; all collaborators must be identified on the citation page, or only the student who submitted the material will receive credit.
