MGT502 Business Communication MGT502 Business Communication Presentation – Exemplary Business Presentation Introduction In management and engineering, progress reports are critical documents for reporting to a funding agency about a progress on a project. Once a business proposal is successfully presented for a project, clients expect a scheduled update over the progress of that project. This is fulfilled by progress report. My Name is XYZ. I am currently specializing in ABC and today I am going to describe how to make an effective business presentation over a specific type. I am allocated to explain about delivering an effective progress report presentation. 2 Aspects of a Progress Report Progress report are important while a research team reports about a progress of a project for an agency. The basic characteristics are Summarizing the status of a project Commit an exact schedule for completing project Status of resources used Accounting the budget spent (Chawla, 2017) Summarize current findings Here I have defined different aspects or characteristics for delivering an effective business presentation for Progress Report. Each characteristics mentioned builds up the professionalism required which are vital for affecting the outcome. 3 Technology improving business communication By using SPSS or similar software in computers, accurate progress on research project can be demonstrated (Østby, Yamin, & Al Sabbagh, 2019). Recording progress in digital platform regularly indicates accurate milestones that are completed and work that has yet to complete. By using computer software I can produce a detailed report for my progress. Providing accurate data in the progress report is essential for a professional impression and formal presentation. 4 Examples for delivering the business presentation In a typical progress report business presentation the following elements must be similar: Background of the project Discussing achievements since last reporting Discussing issues that have arisen Discussing work that lies ahead Assessment of the project objectives within proposed budget and schedule By referring to the most acclaimed progress reports in business presentation, I found the similarities as examples that are necessary to be included during effective progress report presentation. 5 Practical recommendations Reports should always include the sections for: “Completed work”, “Remaining work”, “expected schedule to be completed” (Pérez, 2016). Information must be kept simple, short and focused (Habimana, Nsengimana & Uworwabayeho, 2017). With the help of computer software information can be presented most accurately. Tone of presentation should be familiar and straight forward. Act professional while asking advice over an issue. By referring to examples of effective progress report before preparing the presentation is the best idea to succeed in delivering the business presentation. Further recommendations are pointed in this slide. 6 Conclusion There are certain rules and formality that needs to be maintained while preparing a progress report for professional business presentation. With the help of computer software and digital records of a job progress, an accurate, detailed business presentation for progress report can be delivered. During this presentation I have described every aspects and characteristics including examples and recommendations for making an effective business presentation while delivering progress report. 7 References Chawla, J.
