The design specifications are: - Loop-gain cross-over frequency: , - Phase margin: , - Gain margin: Design the feedback circuit by finding the values of poles, zeros, and the gain of the compensator Gc, and the gain of the sensor, H. Verify your results through simulations using state space average models of the buck converter for small signal analysis. The report should contain the following: a) Derive the mathematical model of the control-to-output voltage transfer function b) Outline of your analog controller design and all calculated component values. c) Show a circuit diagram using Matlab/Simulink d) Design a compensator and plot three transfer functions using Matlab/Simulink ac sweep, with X-axis from 10Hz to 100kHz: o Duty-cycle to output voltage transfer function: o Loop gain transfer function with Gc(s)=1: o Loop gain transfer function with your designed Gc(s): (Mark the crossover frequency, gain margin and phase margin) e) Closed-loop transient plots of io(t) and vo(t) when RL steps from 10 to 5 and back. f) Calculate Rs and Cs for implementing analog controller g) Discuss about control design and its performance All plots must have sufficient X- and Y-axis resolutions and white color background to clearly see necessary details.

Simulink block for feedback circuit for buck converter design
Mathematical model:
The controller with buck
converter system is as below
It gets the reference voltage as input of the controller and u as the output of controller, while u is the input of buck converter system and y is the output of buck converter system. More importantly, yref serves as the feedback of the system and it will be compared with the reference voltage. And by the comparing, the controller will adjust to make the output voltage close to the reference voltage. If the output voltage is higher than the reference voltage, then the controller will make the switch open to discharge the circuit; while the output voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the controller will close the switch to charge for the circuit. The controller is a discrete transfer function, designed in order to get a certain pole in the closed system. As in the second order discrete system, transfer function is

B1 = [ 0 -1/Cc ; 1/L Rc/L ]; %...
