Introduction
    Need Assessment and problem solving approach are the most essential tool for the organization that helps an organization in determining the gaps that are preventing it from reaching the desired position. The prescribed company chosen here is Nokia, which was a Finnish multinational telecommunication, currently owned by HMD Global and is an information technology and consumer electronics company. The need assessment model, which is taken in consideration, is the Harlless’s Front-End analysis model that focuses on the performance and cause analysis as the major tools for finding the best way to correct the performance problem. The model focuses on the result primarily than the solutions.
Instructional System Design Model
The instructional system design model is considered as the basic core in the training programs implemented by the company. The model focuses on solving the performance problem, which arises due to the lack of training or the learning in the organizations. The instructional system design model considered for the need assessment of Nokia correlates with the ADDIE, which implies the systematic approach to the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and the evaluation of the learning materials as well as the activities. ADDIE is considered as one of the traditional models (Reigeluth, 2018).
The factors determining the design and development that need to be implemented in the companies training actions is the performance gaps, which is extensively caused due to the lack of skills, knowledge as well as the inappropriate decisions chosen by the companies. The ADDIE model taken in concern by the Nokia implies the use and effectiveness of the model for the company relating how the company focuses on analyzing the problem as the first step, designing the strategies that need to be taken into consideration, development of the products and the ideas then implementing those ideas in to action and at last evaluating the effectiveness of the idea (Seel, Lehmann, Blumschein & Podolskiy, 2017).

    The company did not plan accordingly for its future, as it seemed a bit complacent with its product. The company did not change itself with the changing market conditions. When the first touch phone by Apple was launched in 2007 Nokia was still satisfied with its E series ignoring the fact that the market trend is moving towards the smart phone. The same thing the company repeated when it re launched itself they have given the whole priority to their concept ignoring the market trend which is towards the cheap smart phones manufactured by its competitors.
