CSIS 505 Project: Design Assignment Instructions Overview For this milestone, you will incorporate the feedback you received from the Project: Proposal Assignment deliverable as well as further insight you have developed since the last submission into a Project: Design Assignment deliverable as described below. Materials Required To complete this deliverable, you will need the following materials: · This document · The feedback you received from the previous milestone · Microsoft Word · Microsoft PowerPoint · LucidChart.com, draw.io, or Microsoft Visio Instructions For this deliverable, you will revise your Project: Proposal Assignment submission based on the feedback you received and include a class diagram. Once this deliverable is approved, you may not make any substantial changes to your project without prior approval of the instructor. Take this milestone seriously. It will directly impact your ability to be successful with the overall project. Be sure to give serious thought to how you will incorporate the feedback that you received from your previous submission. There may be things suggested in the feedback that you would rather not implement, or you may have ideas different than those recommended in the feedback. That is acceptable, but be sure you provide rationale for why you decided to do something different than what was recommended. Think of this deliverable as a formal “response letter” to your instructor. This submission must follow a similar format as the Project: Proposal Assignment submission, but it must show clear evidence that you have incorporated—or at least discussed—the feedback that you were given. Include the following: 1. Revise and update your description of what your project will do based on the feedback you received and/or your updated understanding of your application since the previous milestone. Be sure to clarify and expand your project’s requirements from what you submitted in your Project: Proposal Assignment. 2. Revise and update your activity diagram or flowchart based on the feedback you received and/or your updated understanding of your application since the previous milestone. It must be free of major syntactical effect. 3. Use LucidChart.com, draw.io, or Microsoft Visio to convert your list of 5 to 7, information-focused classes into a class diagram. Your diagram must show all classes, properties, data types, methods, and relationships that you intend to use to develop your project. It is very likely that you will also use GUI classes to develop your project, and you are welcome to include those in this class diagram, but these classes will not count toward the 5 to 7 minimum. 4. Revise and update your PowerPoint with the screenshot to incorporate the feedback you received as well as any additional changes you want to make. Package the information above into a single Microsoft Word document. Your document must be formatted using a professional looking template, be a minimum of 500 words, and written in third person. Be sure that your deliverable also includes your name. Submit the completed Word document via the appropriate submission link in Canvas. Note: Your assignment will be checked for originality via the Turnitin plagiarism tool. Not found were 5–7 information-focused classes versus GUI-related classes (such as forms or frames). The new Food System is an improved system having a strong network connecting the IT and customer interface. The string network ensures effective communication between the users and staff. Access to information online is more efficient and effective from the strong network, and the locality can be traced. The details for the users are made confidential as the system maintains a separate account at each interface. Thus, the updated system provides a more secure method of ordering food and being released at the right time. Description of the project A food ordering system has been established to assist in monitoring the activities of the clients and the staff while purchasing and selling the products. The updated version is connected to the IT department, which monitors the roles of the staff and customers. The IT department ensures the security of the information of the staff clients. The updated system is less complex is it flows from the clients to the product and back to IT. The functions of the IT department in the Food ordering system include: The information system will assist the management in making business decisions and analyzing and coordinating information. The information technology facilitates and supports the employment of the Food Ordering System. For instance, IT will act as a specific interface helping users input data into the corporate operation of the management information technology. The IT will enhance computing technology, ensuring the safety of the data of the staff and users, thus supporting and informing the methods of reaching the goals and objectives of the system. Working of the system Customer interface: ordering the food product begins with the customer logging into the system with a correct password. The users order the products and place their deadlines. Food product: different food products are displayed with their codes and price. Staff: consists of people who assist the user in making a decision on the product and deadline. IT department: acts as the link between the users and staff, ensuring automatic communication to the clients. The high security provided by the IT department ensures no data breach. Payment option: the payment tab allows the users to make an online payment and receive a payment code. Logistic chain: provides effective transportation through which the ordered products are transported to the users. Objectives of the updated Food Ordering System The updated system aims at improving and monitoring the activities of the users by having a strong network that reinforces the activities of the users. Advantages of the updated Food Ordering System The new system will have great efficiency to the users due to the string network linked to the system. Besides, the security of the system is improved by incorporating the IT department, which will improve the security of the system by suggesting strong passwords. In addition, the system is user-friendly and attractive as it improves the experience of the learners by promoting the accuracy of the stored information for the staff and users. Finally, manual entry of data is discouraged by the updated system. Updated Food Ordering System 4 Food Ordering System Nathaniel L Haggar School of Business, Liberty University CSIS 505, Software Development Professor James Dollens January 30,2022 Food Ordering System Introduction In the modern world, full of technology, the computer is being used for accessing all kinds of information. Organizations are finding it difficult to survive without technology in the 21st century. The global information database has been increased by the World Wide Web and used for sharing information within an organization. An online food system is required in this sector. The user can access the information by logging in using a username and password and ordering food to be delivered to a particular location. Through internet services, the organization will be accessing online information about critical factors. Overview The online food ordering system project is a website created for restaurants and hotels, increasing the scope of the business by assisting clients in making their orders via online procedures. Food ordering system forms About the system: there is detailed information about the restaurant or hotel, such as contact number and experience. The details make the clients confident before putting an order. Cart details: the form is displayed outlining the information and time of the products added by the clients. There is a display of the cost and number of the products ordered. Change password: the users who have registered on the application can change the settings of the account, like the password. Client detail information: the users are in a position f view the total number of products they have bought in a given period. The information also includes order details, recent payments, and billing numbers. Payment details report: the report includes the amount paid through online methods and taxes. Developing the Platform Visual C and Asp.Net programming languages were used since they allow for easy generation of the simple user interface. They are also easy to work with different engines of the database. Due to higher reliability, performance, cheapness, and ease of use, the Microsoft SQL server is one of the major databases applied in the development of the system. SQL software is used in the project to back up the data management since it has good characteristics of data management, allowing for access of the information filtered or stored. Methodology The step entails designing a form where clients can register then login in with a username and password. The password should match with the user login; otherwise, they will not access the platform. After logging in, the time the user accessed the information is saved and will leave the platform. After logging in, the client will access the food products from KFC and Pizza. The user can then purchase the item they need. After ordering, they can log out, or the system automatically logs them out after 2 hours. Objectives of the Proposed System The proposed system aims at overcoming all the drawbacks of the existing system. The web application is user-friendly. The major objective of the system is to assist in collecting information about the food services. The maintenance of the system requires low cost and functions in all configurations. The information stored can easily be retrieved with high security protecting the data. Thus, the objective of the system can be summarized as: a) Monitoring the activities of the clients, such as logging in and out. b) Creating an online food ordering system. Advantages of the proposed system a) Greater efficiency b) Security of the information stored c) User attractive and friendly d) Ensure accuracy of the data e) Minimize manual entry of data Food ordering system
