• Identify two state and two federal legislative bills that are being introduced in the current legislative session that have implications for advanced practice nurses and discuss what those implications are. What can you personally do to affect that specific legislative effort? Cite and briefly discuss some research or articles that support or argue against the bills.(30 points)

• Describe your experience in working with thehealthpolicycommittee in Louisiana if you are in Louisiana and if you are in Texas whatever you were able to participate in. Please attach your bill review form. Also, even if you cannot participate in Texas bill review, you should review 200 house bills and 100 senate bills and fill out the form. You may also choose to do national legislative bill review. Take these forms with you, filled out, to the bill review process if you are able to participate so that you will be able to discuss your thoughts.(40 points)

• Who are your legislators in the state and nationally? Draft a sample letter to one of them addressing the issue in one of the bills that you identified earlier. You may also interview a legislator using the AARP strategy guide and write up the interview. (30 points)
