Objectives: Construct gene networks that will allow two
E. coli
cell populations to communicate. This assignment will help you for your research project.

Cell population 1 : Must be able to produce an AHL (of your choice) when induced to do so. Must also be able to respond to the AHL (of your choice) produced by cells of population 2

Cell population 2: Must be able to respond to the AHL produced by cells of population1 by expressing a reporter gene (of your choice) and produce at the same time an AHL to communicate with cells of population 1.

Describe the parts you will use to construct the genes using BioBricks parts (module) You have to use the following web site to select your parts:

parts.igem.org

Note: you cannot use pre-assembled parts from the IGEM parts registry, you have to build your genes from individual modules (e.g. promoter+RBS+coding sequence+terminator)
