Questions for Analysis & Report* Metro
Specify the company researched by each member and answer the following Questions*:
(i) What values seem to dominate the corporate culture of the companies you researched?
Compare and contrast the values of these companies. Are these values similar or diverse
across the companies researched in the industry sector?
(ii) Did you find evidence of multiple sub-cultures in the companies researched or strong
cultures with a dominant set of values? Are these consistent with industry sector
demands? Provide evidence to support your answer.
(iii)Based on the findings of the companies researched, make 3 recommendations for one of
the companies, for it to ‘maintain’ or ‘change’ its culture (as the case may be).
(iv)Based on your findings above and the artifacts of the companies researched, did you find
any difference between the stated and enacted values in the companies researched? For
example, company executives describe certain cultural values on the company website
but the stories and news releases about the company indicate different cultural values
being enacted. Provide evidence to support your answer.
(v) Amongst the companies researched by the group, which company leader/leadership do
you find to be the most effective and why? Your answer should be based on leadership
traits and theories studied in the course and provide evidence to support.
