Dear Mr. Executive Director,
I am writing this letter to make you aware of the current situation that Mankato is experiencing and to discuss the potential challenges and solutions. There has been a sudden rise in minority g
roups in Mankato recently and this demographic change is posing challenges regarding acceptance and incorporation of minorities into work and community life.
With your permission, I am presenting a report, attached with this letter, to present data and research on the importance of diversity in human welfare organizations and community at large, the challenges associated and potential ways to address them. Human services have to be redesigned and new human service models are needed to address the current inequities that have come up with surge in minority population in Mankato.
United States has an enormous cultural diversity and many American families struggle to get their ends meet. This report focusses on cultural diversity and cultural diversity within human service agencies and the initiatives that can be taken to promote and manage this diversity. Diversity is universal and it is present in the population receiving services and the staff providing services. As employers it is our mission to establish a platform for acceptance and effectively communicate this to our teams. Top management commitment is necessary to address this issue and to foster a positive environment where all workers of all kinds are accepted, have opportunities to develop their full potential and can perform well.

The functioning of human services sector is laid on the foundation stone of cultural diversity and non-profit organizations make up an important segment of human services delivery system. Non-profit agencies provide support and services to children and families who are at risk of economic, social and educational problems of varied cultural diversities. Such agencies honor and embrace the differences by serving a diverse group cultures as co-workers, staff, employers, clients (Smeiser, Wilson, & Mitchell, 2000). Therefore, it is of utmost importance for human service agencies to understand functioning and belief systems of different cultural groups so as to provide them with great quality of care.
