At the end of Module Seven, you will review your answers to these questions and ensure that you have responded to each question. The three historical lenses are:
1. Social Lens: I could apply this research on my study of how the Native Americans were pushed towards the Western United States which led to the relocation as well as separation of the indigenous group from one another.
2. Religious Lens: I could apply this research on how the white settlers regions forced to be adopted by the natives were seen and the impact of them on being adopted and practiced.
3. Political Lens: Did the pushing of the indigenous people of America by the white settlers earned any political gains by establishing their rule and ground in the south-eastern United States
Question 2: Revise the thesis statement at the top of this page to reflect a more complex view of the relationship between Natives and white settlers. Your revised thesis statement should be longer than one sentence. Module Seven: Thinking About History, Learning Block 7-2 (page 2)
The conflicts between the Native Americans and the White settlers were generally related to the land of southeast America which was fertile and was appropriate for cultivation of cotton. Also there were mineral resources like god found in the area. Thus, separating the native and engaging them in conflicts and tussle helped the white settlers to gain the ground in south-east America. Thus it can be stated that the actions of the white settlers towards the Natives were seen as manipulative and of extreme savagery.
