Introduction
We can notice that there is increase in the leaders for having successful enterprises and for this they have to focus on looking for some better method which can improve the overall performance. These leaders are
generally interested in keeping their viability and success secure which they have gained in the knowledge era and the world has entered into this new era. The major concerns are the areas which can affect local governments, commercial enterprises, municipalities and the nations.
The progressive leaders are trying to get shape and position for the assets of their organization, activities and driving forces which can help them to remain competitive. There has been frequent disappointment in the past management initiatives which motivates the managers for obtaining new understanding about new mechanics which can help to handle the current organisations and market. There are few authors who have created the single factor management initiative as they have considered fads.
When they are pursued in the isolation then these 1-dimensional initiatives generally result in brief performance improvements, and they are followed by undesirable side effects and reduced effectiveness. If we talk about the importance of this pursuit, then as per the survey done by chief executive officers of some well-known companies have pointed to the role of intellectual capital and knowledge played in the modern enterprise. The CEO also agreed with the fact that knowledge is the most important asset for any organization.
They also agree that the knowledge-based assets can be the base for success of organization in the coming century. As the result of this discussion, there has been more efforts towards managing knowledge and intellectual capital and it has now created link with the considerable success from many different and famous organizations.

If we talk about the knowledge management and intellectual Capital Management, then there is considerable overlap on both of them. But there are still major differences between the perspectives and focus and it cannot be considered as artificial distinction. If we talk about the intellectual Capital Management, then it has major focus on managing and building the intellectual assets from enterprise governance and strategic perspectives along with the focus on tactics. The major function of this management is to take care of the intellectual capital present in the organization.
The knowledge management has operational and tactical perspectives. It is present in more detailed and focused manner to manage and provide the knowledge related activities like creating, capturing, transferring, and using. The functions of knowledge management are planning, implementing, operating, and monitoring all the activities and programs which are related with knowledge, and they need integration with intellectual capital management. These two initiatives can be used as the compliment for each other, and the importance also overlaps. It is important to integrate both of them closely so that we can prevent any type of conflict and increase its effectiveness to maximum. It is compulsory that they interwove with the considerations of the management to make balanced, competitive and sound enterprise.
If the organization is able to manage knowledge and intellectual assets properly then the enterprise at employees will be able to achieve the position where they can act intelligently for the basic requirements to sustain success, viability and competitiveness.
They will be able to get the opportunities for capitalising on the usage of knowledge which can cover a wide range of activities. When we use it in the simplest form then it means that we are using best knowledge which is available for performing a particular task.
