Introduction to the Topic
Novel coronavirus was one of its kinds of pandemic redefined the rules of working around the world. It declared complete shutdown and forced the human mobility to take a break. Government at large, workers and employees along with their organizations had a leading role in bringing back the workforce to the office by ensuring safe returns.
According to the opinions of Barnes and Sax (2020), the need for coordinated actions and cooperation are key to success. Though safe and healthy working conditions are fundamental rights at workplace, post-pandemic policy guidance is being provided to organizations so that risk assessments can be done as well as preventive and protective measures can be implemented.
These guidelines are also proving to be helpful for governments and companies so that safe returns can be planned in a phased manner. As mentioned by Yuan, Ye and Zhong (2021), this also involved training on OSH (Occupational safety and health standards) and compliance to rules at workplace on a stricter note. To know about the measures taken by the organizations for safe return a research is planned. It will be a resource and provide deeper insights about safe work practices like social distancing, use of masks etc.
Plan for Research
A surveyed research will be conducted to gather data from 100 senior executives across US in different industries. It is a primary method of systematic investigation through research. This method will help in collecting data in a qualitative form as the open-ended questions will be framed and included in the survey. It will be an excellent tool to understand human behavior with respect to their perception about returning to work understanding the psychological and social aspects of the research.
