Watch the video -Understanding the Core Components of SQL Serverand provide your response to the following questions:
1. In your opinion, what are the advantages of using a database management system such as SQL Server?
2. What are the core components of SQL Server?
3. Briefly identify and define the component that allows you to create and management the database.
Part II:Reply to each post below (150-200 words is good):1.There are many advantages of using a database management system, such as SQL Server. This includes sharing data between database users based upon level authorized access, reducing data redundancy to avoid having multiple copies of the same file, data integrity to ensure the accuracy of data, and data security which only allows access to authorized users. Database managementsystems also provide privacy constraints, faster performance, data consistency due to reduced data redundancy, backup and recovery after a crash or system failure, and reliability.
The core components of SQL Server are SQL Management Studio,Business Intelligence Development Studio, the configuration manager, and the SQL Server Profile,Reporting Services,Analysis Services, and Integration Services.
SQL Management Studio allows users to create and manage the database.SQL Server Management Studio is an integrated environment for accessing, configuring, managing, and developing all components of SQL Server.
2.
One main advantage of using an SQL server is data integrity;meaning that it makes sure that the collected data is accurate and consistent. If we take a look at the core components of the SQL Server then those include security, reliability, performance, and data integrity is also a core component of the SQL Server.
The4 main components thatmake up the database include users,Database Management System so-called(DBMS),database application, and database. However,to maintain the database system,we need hardware, software, procedures, data, query process, data manager, database engineer, run time database manager, database access language, etc.they all play a very significant role to maintain the DBMS.
