Personal Leadership Portfolio
I am a kind of person who love investing in activities that can develop my leadership qualities, you know the experience one receive from the voluntary activities conducted on church, keeping good network with people and collaborating with them to add values in whatever we do. However, I will be honest with you; I wasn’t always driven towards my goals as I am now. This because my greatest inspiration is my dad who had served in church as a volunteer apart from his work at the factory for more than three decades now. Currently, he has retired from the service and taking time to coach young children from nearby high schools. He always had the knack for good books. Although his genre of books differs from mine, he loves to read more about History, Methodology while I like books, which are focused on productivity, development and innovation. However, he urged me to give some time in church helping in various activities as well as focus on interning with any multi-national organisation so that I can grasp the concepts as well as learn to apply them. I have been diligently taking some time out to read this powerful book.
My vision is to become a successful professional and a contributing citizen in the society. By the virtue of this leadership portfolio, I will take you through my learning and touch upon broad aspect of leadership topics about leadership like Priorities, Driving Change, Influence, Integrity, Solving Problem, Vision, People and Attitude. My experience also offers applications of concepts and principles about leadership that was learnt in the class in the domain like business, sports, innovation and government.
Public Speaking and Interacting with People
A great way to build knowledge about people management and various leadership frameworks is to apply them in real life. Moreover, I also involved myself in several public speaking events where I heard influential personalities like doctor John Maxwell who is the pastor in this domain and written several powerful books on this topic.
