Introduction and Reasons for Program Selection
The scope of healthcare management is enormous and there has been a steady growth of 32% from 2019 to 2029, where these programs can be helpful tools in developing the skills and knowledge required for the healthcare services (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2019). A quality degree program is important to enter these sectors with a specialization in these sectors.
While gerontology will allow me to work with older adults at the hospitals and other healthcare settings, their social challenges, stages of ageing as well as mental and physical issues regarding old age would be learned. This is my reason to flourish my skills and strengthen my competencies is the prime reason for choosing the program. However, I am unable to continue this course, because of my health issue and that is the reason for me to join the IT course, which happens to begin in the forthcoming two weeks.
