Introduction
When we talk of the increasing crime rates in most countries of the world our primary focus shifts to the enforcers of law and order or the police forces. Often deemed as unnecessary by many anthropologists and research scholars, the question of whether we need police forces to maintain law and order is still prevalent. The major reason of such grievances is the police brutality that has been unleashed on the citizens of the common folk that stand up against the government. Any protests or rebellions have been curbed by the government with strict police action. Although the emergency services of the police including the paramedics provide much needed relief for the citizens, the question of whether or not our society needs police system is still a question in our minds.
