Instructions for students: Read case study on page 397 The Role of Root Cause
Analysis in Public Safety ERM Programs:

Select one emerging social, business, or criminal current issue in your community using data available from sources such as local newspapers, NPR, local business news, online police reporting, and so forth.

From the reading in the book, see page 400 in the cause and effect analysis, frame the situation by identifying it, and the risks associated with it.

Next, identify the restraining and driving forces that may be impacting the issue using a force field analysis (See pages 408 through 411). Please diagram the details associated with this analysis. See supplements for examples of how to create a Force Field Diagram. If you run into formatting problems in your essay just put the two diagrams that you create for this assignment at the end of the narrative as exhibits.

Using your force field analysis, develop a cause and effect diagram (Fishbone Diagram) for the situation.

Introduction
One emerging current criminal issue in my community is cybercrime like bullying, stalking, and false identity (FBI, 2022). According to the data, it is an emerging criminal offence, which effects the economic security. The FBI has trained cyber squads to combat such cases effectively.
Cyber-Crime
The rate of cybercrime is increasing day by day through technologically oriented people to cause smart theft of economy by either identity theft or threats. In this digital era, it is easier to get any information about people through digital platforms, which makes it easier for the criminals to attain their goals.
Identifying the Cause
· People included in the cause are the offenders and the officials who are suspecting and removing the cause of the crime. They also include the Justice Department staffs and the people dealing with mental health issues. Some homeless people or lack of employed people related to the cause.
· The process undertaken by the officials could be enforcement of laws or taking severe steps against punishing the criminal on their own.
· The measurement of the causes of such crime can be arranged through database from the FBI or reported crimes.
· The materials, which act as the cause, can be lack of proper mental health towards the society. Insufficient or unavailable employment conditions can also induce cybercrime.
