Introduction
Terrorism is an aim to generate terror among the people, which thereby leads them in an insecure position and has an emotional impact in their respective lives. Terrorism basically is a destructive process where some mentally sick people harms the human sentiments by destroying the heritage, infrastructure, social disruption, creates loss in market and governmental issues and many more (Markoulis & Katsikides, 2020). The impact of terrorism on domestic and global communities are pathetic as it affect the health conditions of the individuals, traumatized them and lead them to a state of depression, anxiety, hyper tension long term strain and many more.
Effect of Terrorism on Domestic Communities
Domestic communities are affected mentally as well as physically by the terrorists. The terrorist in order to fulfil their own personal desires and revenge they kill several human beings not even leaving a child behind. The physical consequences of an individual on a domestic community undergoes certain soft tissues injuries, broken bones, long term and short term chronic pain, disability and many more (Lambrechts & Blomquist, 2017).
The individuals in future also suffer from certain somatic symptoms such as pain and trauma in the form of post-traumatic stress disorder. The abuses and violations also includes sexual abuses, which affect the individual from gynecological problems, rectal problems or even sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV thereby creating problems for pregnancy, throat agitation, reproduction problems and many more (Bohmelt, Bove & Nussio, 2020).
Apart from physical consequences terrorism also affect the individual at psychological level by mentally traumatizing the individuals. As terrorism includes bomb blasting, ruining several houses, assassinations and many more, due to which many individuals loses their family members and suffers from grief and mental pain. According to Sinnar (2019), the survivor act of terrorism such as kidnapping, hijacking leads to a state of fear, anxiety, helplessness, guilt, shock, which thereby causes depression.
