The introduction of internet of things in the healthcare sector has risen to a plethora of applications enabling the patients to get better treatments and run medical centres in a smooth manner. With the emergence of IOP in healthcare, a number of impediments to its development are encountered, which are touted as some of the obstacles in its growth. The report particularly aims to understand the overall idea behind the concept of Internet of Things in healthcare along with its different applications and benefits. We also strive to understand the challenges and obstructions in the implementation and adaptation of the concept. The use cases of different IOT systems in healthcare have demonstrated that there exists a fair degree of complexity, which calls for a well-designed methodological approach consisting of broadly two steps, which are problem design and product development.
