If we analyse that we can see the tenure of Reagan was a mix and matc
h of success and failure, which is anyway bound to happen in such a large country which was shaping itself up in the world stage. He became the President when the country was struggling with civil rights issues, Watergate, major assassinations and his visionary leadership helped the people have faith in the White House again. He had clear vision about his presidency and hence advocated the Reaganomics, which led to reduction in taxes so as to stimulate the economy, He focussed on more employment and creation of jobs. This helped in the improvement of the GDP and economic growth reduced the unemployment for several years in the decade of 1980’s. The rate of poverty also dropped during that phase and people had more economic freedom and stability. The rate of inflation also dropped significantly and economy started to boom.
