Sustainable Development and BMW Group: A Report
    Name

Introduction
The modern business world comprises of several professional accountabilities that organizations have to carry out (Dimitrios & Lawrence, 2020). There are various dimensions under which, these accountabilities are perceived and analyzed. For example, CSR based governing policies as well as commitment to produce sustainable environment of work are couple of organizational measures that are identical with these accountabilities. More or less, the companies are expected to show that their production and sales is dedicated to sustain the princ
iples of leadership as well as to ensure that the problems related to the sustainability are well addressed. The following is an analysis of the BMW group, the UK based company that has multiple dimensions of work(Gayle & Harald, 2011). Since the very beginning of the organization, BMW has shows excellence in structuring the production and sales of its products by adhering to the principles of sustainability. The issues like gaps in quality, leadership premises of understanding the goals and environmental regulations for expanding business as well as managing the needs and expectations of the employees are now administered well, keeping in mind that the company proudly holds sustainable network of internal and external stakeholders (Kallinowsky,2003).
Sustainability: Conceptual Understanding
At first, it is significant to note here that the concept of sustainability stems from the corporate culture in the context of modernized values given to business. Sustainability goes with corporate growth and expansion of profits into various dimensions like sales and quality productions as well. However, as mentioned above, some of the corporate culture based values are defined not by single dimension, as per their meaningful implication and sustainability and its alternative definitions include the same. It is not perceived that the growth and earning of great profits are single handedly able to carry the image of the organization as excellent. It requires more than that and it includes that the company has to adhere to the principles that contain to create sustainable environment (Hiranyavasit, 2020).
Thus, the inclusion of liabilities that are political, social and economical is seen by sustainability in general. The concept of corporate sustainability is borrowed from some other concepts and one of them is environmental sustainability. The contribution of sustainable development to corporate sustainability is twofold (Wilson, 2003). First, it helps set out the areas that companies should focus on: environmental, social, and economic performance. Second, it provides a common societal goal for corporations, governments, and civil society to work toward: ecological, social, and economic sustainability. However, sustainable development by itself does not provide the necessary arguments for why companies in action should look like (Hiranyavasit, 2020).
Further, when it comes to sustainable development, it does not imply organizational growth only; it includes responsibilities that are exclusively directed to participate in the process of maintaining social justice, making sure that the environmental laws are well followed as well as the commitment of the organization towards promoting equity in social values which is a part of social justice (Traverso et al, 2015). Most of the nations now days encourage active participation of their industrial segment to ensure that sustainable development are done positively by their organizational sector. Also, when it comes to sustainable development, dedicated values are needed to make sure that the environment in which the production is made is kept secured (Capgemini Research, 2020) Thus, sustainable development is a process to change the current and future needs and expectations of human beings with the help of balanced approach taken by the organization with a view to consumption of available resources, institutional changes made within the organizational culture and at the same time, technical evolutions are perfectly implied as the core value of production and sales (Cardenal & Ferran, 2013).
Sustainable Development and Leadership: BMW Group
In order to implement the goals of sustainable development, the organizational requisites vary from place to place, depending upon the local conditions in which, the production is done. However, the core values placed in sustainable leadership principles are mainly over the focus that the administration of the company takes—the macro view—about the enterprise. The principles of sustainable leadership remain in contrast with the locust leadership where the goals, whether they are long or short term, are not pre-defined or analyzed. The corporate value of a company adhering to the principles of sustainable leadership goes with the basic fact that what can possibly be the meaning of the organization overall. Widely recognized as honeybee leadership, sustainable leadership and the development goals associated with it pursue positively the process of building communities, structuring positivity among the varying interests of the stakeholders as well as with the fact that good production value is founded in setting up long terms goals on priority (BMW Group, 2018).
In sustainable leadership, the goals set for long terms are achieved with effect; the short term profit earning and its sharing with the stakeholders and investors is usually avoided. The assets of the company are well processed in order to sustain the company profile for a longer period than expected. A fair assumption is also made about the process through which, employee retention is maintained. All of these factors are analyzed, reviewed and then implemented in a timely manner which makes the overall image of the company in the market as strong, positive and sticking to the basic principles of sustainable development (BMW Group, 2018).
For BMW group, it can be illustrated that the company has successfully carried out the goals of sustainable leadership. For example, in the era of financial crisis in the first decade of 21st century, the subsequent recession broke the financial expectations of internationally operating organizations. It enforced compromises made in order to survive during the hard times. However, on the other hand of this dismayed picture of global financial crisis, BMW group could not only manage the survival mode...
