· First we must select domestic suppliers which will minimize the lead time by two weeks or more;
· Ordering in smaller quantities by reducing the longer lead times and reducing the carrying costs;
· Let the suppliers know the reorders expected based on the actual sales forecast.
· Spend less time on customised products and emphasize the suppliers for the standard components (John Sharman, 2019).
b) How do you avoid this impacting the project timeline?
1. Setting realistic goals for the project and working as per the schedule
2. Holding a team meeting and allowing the team to communicate their vision towards the project.
3. It needs to be analysed whether the budgeted amount can cover the cost of project and help in additional funding
4. Dividing the individual tasks and works into various phases, establish the reliance, sequence the activities and estimate the required resources and timeline of each tasks.
