PREPARATION FOR THE ASSESSMENT





· This essay offers an opportunity to reflect on what you have learnt in theory over year one and identify the role and professional accountability of the nurse in relation to health promotion and the prevention of ill health. You will also need to provide evidence to demonstrate how this contributes to person centred care and shared decision making and how this care is delivered across different settings.



· You will need to consider and review how the NMC define the nurse role as a professional and how they are accountable. You will further need to explore how person-centred care and shared decision making is delivered, focussing on the nurse’s role in health perfection and prevention of ill health across a number of different sectors within healthcare.



· Familiarise yourself with the NMC Code (2018) and engage with the content delivered in semester 2 this will help prepare you for this assignment.



· You will have 2 MAGs sessions for this, the first will look at breaking down the Learning Outcomes and creating your plan, the second will look at selecting credible evidence o support your academic work.
