Menu Assignment · Students need to work on this assignment individually. · You are all expected to create a menu for a restaurant (specify the restaurant’s theme) to include a specific number of different appetizers, soups, side orders, main course dishes desserts and Early Bird or Chef Specials, Meals based on dietary restrictions (e.g., low calorie diet, vegetarian, etc.). · You need to specify the restaurant’s theme (e.g., family, ethnic, a sandwich shop, a pizza place, seafood, a waffle house, a steakhouse, etc.). You are also expected to describe your restaurant and the idea behind it (label the section). You may want to include a drawing of it. · Your restaurant menu needs to consist of the following: · a minimum of six appetizers · a minimum of two soups · a minimum of three side orders · a minimum of seven main course dishes · a minimum of four dessert choices · a minimum of two of the following (select two from the following options): Chef’s Specials, Early Bird Specials, Low-Calorie Specials, Vegetarian Specials · In a separate section (label your section), you need to justify your pricing strategy of your menu items (you need to elaborate with justification; (e.g., competitors, market preferences, food cost, unique offerings, etc.). You may label the section as Pricing Strategy and Justification. · You are expected to specify items that are considered to be popular with customers as well as those that are not as popular. You may elaborate on such an aspect in a separate section (label your section). · Try to have diverse menu items/options (e.g., edible such as banana and inedible foods such as banana skin). · It is important for the menu to be well planned and in an appealing professional format that is considered “eye-catching” or “attractive.” · You are expected to use creative description of the menu items (strong effective wording) presenting clarity on items in the dish and the way it is prepared. · You are expected to label the different sections. · Please read the rubric posted below. · The assignment deadline is Sunday October 24 at 11:00 A.M.
