Addressing the student debt crisis: Federal vs. state solutions (Links to an external site.) 4. According to the article, Megan Kruse states, "As of 2018, outstanding student loan debt in the United States totaled $1.5 trillion, the country's second-largest consumer debt segment according to the Federal Reserve". Since the federal government finances the outstanding student loan debt, the issue is governed by national policy. The federal government offers these loans but is managed through private corporations to handle their customer service. These private corporations are then allowed to set interest rates of their desire. There have been state-led initiatives that sparked a dispute in the jurisdiction of local and federal governments; however, I believe that since the scale of the student debt issue is remarkably outstanding, a centralized federal control program is crucial to breaking the barrier to career success.  Vi Chu 1. The article also studies about forms of bully such as harassment, isolation, physical violence, etc. and the psychology of the bullies and the victims.   https://popcenter.asu.edu/content/bullying-schools-0 (Links to an external site.)  4. My opinion is that local government should find solution, or make law, to reduce bullying. It is believed that bullying is the school's issue, and the state government should focus on other social issue. However, bullying can affects a person's later life. For example, the victims will have childhood trauma, and most of them might lose their opportunities due to lack of confidence which is mostly the result of the bully. More importantly, some student might commit suicide as they become depressed after being bullied by other students. I agree with my research that police plays a major role in prevent any bully occur in schools.
