APPENDIX A Retro Appliances Organisational Policies and Procedures (Extract) Payroll - The standard hours of work for full time employees is 35 hours. - Leave accruals and leave taking is based on a 35 hour week. - The Manager (Alex) is employed on a full time salary basis. - The Office Admin (Ben) is employed on a full time wage basis. - The Sales Person (Christy) is employed on a casual basis. Allowances - All employees are entitled to a $20 per week Uniform allowance which is also paid while employees are on leave - Employees are entitled to a Motor Vehicle allowance if they use their car for business purposes at the approved ATO rate (78 cents per km for 2022/2023). Kilometres travelled should be recorded on timesheets. - PAYG should be withheld from allowances in accordance with ATO requirements Entitlements - Full time employees are entitled to accrue Annual Leave (4 weeks per year) and Personal Leave (2 weeks per year) in accordance with their employment terms - Annual Leave Loading at 17.5% is paid on all Annual Leave payments (to replace potential lost overtime pay). - Casual employees are not entitled to paid Annual leave or paid Personal leave so no accruals are recorded. Payroll processing - Wages are paid on a Monday for the previous week - Electronic payments are to be processed at the same time as the payroll is processed - PDF copies of Pay Advices should also be printed and filed electronically when pays are processed. Payroll reports - The following reports must be prepared and distributed to your Manager (the classroom / online teacher) within 1 business day of the end of month: Payroll Summary report for the month Payroll Register (Summary) for the month Profit & Loss Statement for the month - The following reports must be prepared and distributed to your Manager (the classroom / online teacher) within 10 business days of the end of year: Payroll Summary report for the year ended 30th June 20xx Payroll Register (Summary) for the year ended 30th June 20xx Payroll Activity (Summary) for the year ended 30th June 20xx Profit & Loss Statement for the year ended 30th June 20xx Balance Sheet as at 30th June 20xx Superannuation Accrual by Fund (Summary) for June 20xx Entitlements Balance Detail for June 20xx Worksheet 1 FNSTPB402 Establish and Maintain Payroll systems PSPLEG002 Encourage compliance with legislation in the public sector Assessment Task 2 – Question 8 Reconcile the June Gross Wages and Superannuation with the following comparisons.  Save this file as FNSTPB402_YOURNAME_Worksheet1 (replace YOURNAME with your actual name).
