Reflective practice is the foundation for developing professional skill because it can generate experience and help transform the understanding of practical meaning of any learning ad experience. Through this experience, impact of the organization can be better. Reflective practice helps provide
information about changes to improve the learning process and thus has positive impacts on learning levels.
The lessons learned are intended to provide other group members with information about the project experience (whether good or bad). By sharing this data, other members of team can leverage this experience to avoid bad experiences and enhance good experience. Bad experience can also be an experience in managing activities, which can reduce the chances of project failure (Al Rbeawi, Kadhim and Farman, 2018). A project plan is a plan process group that consists of those processes used to determine the overall scope of the project, define project goals, and action plans to achieve those goals. During the planning process, all the documentation needed to carry out the project during the project life cycle, such as the project management plan, will be developed. With more information available and a better understanding, project management requires repeated feedback loops. The planning process describes the strategies, strategies, and paths for successfully completing a project.
Hence, the Lessons Learned document is very significant because it helps the project to achieve good success and can help with improved project management by reducing costs, improving quality and reducing threat.
Assignment 3 is related to sharing lessons. To this end, in this document, framework of the lessons learned development process and the expectations and realities of lessons learned planning process will be discussed. In addition, this document discusses three main courses as well as improvement strategies and their implementation practice. The APA reference style is use to providing data about the articles referenced in the development report (Belshaw, 2017).
Startup process: It involves starting a new project. A new project can be initiated by defining its goals, scope, purpose and results to be delivered.
Surveillance and Control: Surveillance is the process of regularly observing project performance to find out if project performance is missing and identifying defects and correcting them in a timely manner.
Execution: The execution phase refers to the stage in which the project plan's work activities are performed, resulting in the completion of the project. In this phase, implementing the elements completed in the planning phase takes time and costs money.
Startup is the first step in the project management lifecycle. It involves starting a new project. A new project can be initiated by defining its goals, scope, purpose and results to be delivered. At this stage, a project team will be hired, including the members responsible for completing the project. Thereafter, the project will be reviewed for approval to begin the next phase.
2 LESSONS LEARNT: FRAMEWORK (6 marks)
2.1Lessons learnt framework explained (1 mark)
In addition to concept of the lessons learned provided below moreover use in this report, another different framework provide by other experts can be used in past. The frameworks for the management of lessons learned is discus s below:
• Plan: Description of the event must be outlined clearly with your understanding of the essence
• Do and check: Assessment and analysis are bad experiences or good experiences so that conclusions and actions needed to improve the experience can be drawn
• ACT: After conclusion, improvement requirement is define as an improvement plan that can also be develop so that improvement measure can be correctly implemented
The lessons learned are an integral part of each project and have multiple purposes. When the finalization of the formal lessons learned document is completed during the project checkout process, lessons should be learned throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that all information is recorded in a timely and accurate manner. Lesson templates are valuable tools used by other project managers in your organization who have assigned similar projects. The document should not only describe what is going wrong in a project, but also advice to avoid similar situations in the future, but it should also describe how a successful project and how similar projects benefit from this information. This document should be communicated to the project sponsor and the Project Management Office (PMO) for inclusion in the organization's assets and archives as part of the database of lessons learned. If the organization does not have a PMO, other formal lessons should be used to ensure that all project managers are included.
