The technological advancement in the world provide the chance for healthcare industry to develop innovative technologies which can be helpful in improving quality of treatment given to the service seeker. One of the most important technologies which is in use in healthcare industry is electronic health record (EHR). As suggested by Jagannatha and Yu, electronic health record can be defined as digital mode of keeping record of the data of the patient. It consists of wide range of data of the patients which include medical history, pathology report, medication, current treatment, past allergies, family history. Since it runs real time which allows it to input the live information accessible to every authorized individual. It has many other features like prediction of treatment, alarming of medication, quantity of medicine needs to be administered, and prediction of progress of treatment. Nowadays, electronic health record use cloud-based system which allowed authorized users to access information from any part of the world using any mode like mobile, laptop or computer. As suggested by Mennemeyer et al., despite technology is very innovative, yet people have mixed perception towards its usage in the hospital setting. This technology raised the question whether it is boon for the healthcare setting or not.
