Total Mark (out of 5 marks) Name and Student ID: Notes: Submitting only a PPT will not get any marks for Part A. No marks will be awarded for Part A if the student does not present (via a pre-recorded video as advised for T1, 2020). The video must be submitted by the Moodle deadline and it must demonstrate all criteria below. At the latest, markers must have access to recordings before the scheduled class time for internal students and as advised by the Unit Coordinator for Distance students, or Part A may not be marked. Assessment 3: Specifications PPMP20008 T1, 2020 PPMP20008 -Assessment 3: Lessons Learnt Note: Requirements and marking criteria modified to comply with the online teaching in T1, 2020 Introduction Part A: Lessons Learnt Presentation + Part B: written submission (total: 30%) This is an individual assessment. Completion of the unit PPMP20008 is like a project in that during the term there are things that go well (i.e. passing the multiple choice online quiz) and things that don’t go well (i.e. not completing all the prescribed readings). This assessment item requires you to reflect on your participation and experience in this unit, identify lessons learnt and consider what actions can be taken to address those lessons. In addition, this assessment requires you demonstrate how you intend improving - on how you deal with similar situations in the future. Please note these learnings are based on your role as a student in PPMP20008 and NOT based on supplied project (including the material learnt from PMBoK or PRINCE2), for this unit. You will need to determine a framework to base your lessons learnt on. In practice, lessons learnt discussions are usually framed in certain ways to generate learnings. You need to consider the most effective way to do this within the context and the experiences of the unit gained during the term. Your assignment (Part A: lesson learnt presentation and Part B: written submission) will be assessed on the extent to which it meets each of the following criteria: Part A: Lesson Learnt presentation (5 marks) Part A comprises an ‘in class’ two minute presentation* - using only two slides (one being a title slide) as per the template. Students must use the provided PPT template. The first (title) slide should contain the unit details, your name, student number, campus, tutor name and presentation title. The second slide will comprise the content of your presentation and must include only one lesson learnt. (*no in-class presentations in T1 2020 – see page 3 for updated instructions). Note: the lesson learnt used in the two minute presentation (PPT and delivery) must be the same lesson learnt (lesson 1) contained in the written submission (see part B below). 0.5 marks will be deducted from criterion 4 in marking criteria in Part A if a different lesson. See the notes section in the PPT template provided for the suggested structure for the delivery of the presentation and other guidelines. NOTES: 1. This is about reflection and reflective practice – not about the topics you have learnt. To get full marks you need to have demonstrated ‘deep reflection’ about the learning process. 2. You do not need to provide a script of this presentation. It is optional. If you provide a script (for your notes as well), that must be brief and in the notes section of the PPT. 3. Remember that you only have 2 minutes to present. Therefore, you need to practice your timing, be concise and ensure you focus on the necessary information. See presentation marking rubric on Moodle for marking criteria. 4. Upload the PPT and a recorded 2-minute video of the Presentation to Moodle – Part A presentation page. Record the video as a .MP4 file. 5. If the video recording cannot be uploaded to Moodle, upload to YouTube and add the URL in the notes section of the PPT. 6. It is the responsibility of the students to provide working links to the marker if uploading the video outside Moodle. Otherwise, presentation (Part A) may not get marked (loss of 5 marks). 7. Simply uploading a PPT is not enough to get marks for Part A. Students must complete a presentation as required (pre-recorded video as advised in the specifications for T1, 2020). Otherwise, Part A will not be marked. 8. The video must demonstrate all criteria as given in the Presentation marking rubric. Part B: Written submission (25 marks) The written submission involves two lessons; one student initiated reflection (lesson 1) and one guided (tutor led) reflection (lesson 2). Student Initiated Reflection (lesson 1) Student initiated reflection involves a process where students alone choose what experiences to reflect upon concerning lessons learnt. Guided (or tutor led) Reflection (lesson 2) In contrast to Lesson 1, Lesson 2 will be a guided (or tutor led) reflection that involves a process where the tutor guides the student concerning the area of reflective practice. This will be undertaken in scheduled tutorials in Weeks 9 – 11. Students are expected to review the risk management information covered in Week 5 before their Week 9 classes. Students then reflect upon experiences (relating to that area) which subsequently prompt them to identify lessons learnt. Note: Tutors will not assist students with finding examples of lessons for the assessment. Students are responsible for identifying the examples after the class discussions. Breakdown of Written Submission (Part B) – Detailed feedback sheet will be provided with the marked files. i. Introduction (2 marks); ii. Lesson Learnt Framework (planned and actual) (6 marks); iii. One student-initiated lesson learnt (lesson 1) and one guided (or tutor led) lesson learnt (lesson 2). Each lesson learnt must be accompanied by improvement strategies described against the SMART attributes (SMART – specific, measureable, achievable, relevant and time-bounded) (15 marks); a. Dedution of marks mark in section 3.2.1 if Lesson 1 is different from the Lesson in Part A and/or if Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 in Part B are identical or very similar, or Lesson 2 is not based on the area of reflective practice as given in the template. iv. Conclusion covering and overview of the purpose of the assessment and what was achieved (0.5 marks); and v. References complying with the CQU APA Referencing requirements(1.5 marks). Submission instructions and timelines Moodle website has separate locations to upload Part A and Part B. See in the Assessments block. Part A: Lesson Learnt presentation (two-minute presentation): Updated submission instructions for Term 1 2020 – All students (internal and distance) will record a 2 minute presentation (video) that complies with the marking rubric and submit to Moodle by 8am, Monday of week 12. Part B: Written Submission: All students must complete Part B: written submission (template supplied) by 8am, Monday of week 12. Please note that extension requests forwarded by e-mail, will NOT be processed. Only requests forwarded via Moodle will be responded to. 2 PPMP20008 PPMP20008 Lessons Learnt Presentation Assessment 3 – Part A, Term 1 2020 Student name: Student number: Campus and Tutorial number: Tutor name: 1 Lesson 1 SituationWhat I learnt from reflecting on the situation Suggested structure for the delivery of the presentation: Introduction: Briefly introduce yourself and why you selected the Lesson you are presenting. What is its relevance to your PPMP20008 Term 1 studies? Situation – (Describe a situation/experience that happened within PPMP20008 during Term 1, 2020.) This situation must be the same one as the Lesson 1 in your written submission - Part B, and what will be presented via pre-recorded video (T1, 2020 requirement). Marks will be deducted if this lesson is different to Lesson 1 in Part B or different what is delivered by the student. What I learnt from reflecting on the situation – What was the lesson for future? (Make sure this is written as a lesson). Conclusion: Briefly conclude with a summary of what you did in the presentation. NOTES: This is about reflection and reflective practice – not about the topics you have learnt. To get full marks you need to have demonstrated ‘deep reflection’ about the learning process. You do not need to provide a script of this presentation. It is optional. If you
