Identifying the Problem Statement
In theoretical research, the research problem can be identified by reading the existing literature and the theory on the particular topic and analysing the gaps that are relevant to such research prospects. These gaps can be evaluated and a research problem can be developed in terms of understanding the phenomenon or context that is relevant to the gaps and the contradictions that are present in the field with more than two perspectives. It is also relevant to consider the relationship and the situations that are not well understood in terms of developing the research problem and the troubling question that has not been resolved yet.
