Project Requirements, Tasks, and Deliverables This project is a team project comprised of two to three members per team. Requirements Summary PrimeTech is a DC based game development company with 36 employees comprised of 13 software developers, 1 development manager, 7 sales personnel, 2 IT staff and 6 administrative staff and 4 marketing staff and 3 accounting personnel. Each department has its own server. The company network infrastructure contains 3 access switches and 2 routers (one for inter-vlan routing and the second one for access to the Internet). PrimeTech has recently purchased NuGames a Bowie based company that provides online game development software training. The two businesses have decided to integrate and link their network infrastructure using RIP v2 routing protocol on the edge routers. NuGames has a small network that contains three servers (Accounting, Administration, Blackboard), three workstations for instructional content developers, five workstations for online training instructors, three workstations for sales staff and six workstations for administrative staff as well as two access switches and two routers (one for inter-vlan routing and the second one for access to the Internet). Design, configure, test and implement a network infrastructure that connects the two businesses. Use Packet-Tracer for this project. Project Technical Requirements 1. Use DHCP service on the routers at each site to lease Class C IPv4 private addresses to devices in each of the subnets at both sites. 2. Establish trunk links between switches and also to routers for inter-vlan routing. 3. Port security should be enabled on all switch ports 4. Online students are only allowed access to the Blackboard server at the NuGames site, but should be denied access to all other servers at both sites. Based on the requirements described above develop a high level network topology diagram and tables: 1. Label all network devices 2. Label all workstations 3. Label all servers 4. Create a table of VLANs and associated ports for each switch 5. Create a table of subnets assigned to the different VLANs Install, configure and test the solution 1. Configure all devices 2. Test connectivity between devices and inter-vlan communications 3. Test security features implemented via ACLs Submit project documentation via Blackboard 1. Network topology diagram and tables (in a single Word document) 2. Packet-Tracer file of the network implementation 3. Team should make a 5 to 7 minute class presentation and submit the presentation slides
