If you chose air quality as your topic, you will present on theAir Quality Flag Program. If you chose substance use, you will present theSBIRT intervention model.


If you have chosen substance use, you will present to atleast 3 practicing RN's. You can present all at one time or individually. If you chose air quality, you will present to at least one organization leader.See the Direct Care Project module for FAQs.

It can be defined as excessive use of substance like drugs, alcohol or both. Substance abuse can be patterned and addictive such that user can continue taking these substance in much more amount by different means and methods that is extremely dangerous.

As per the research carried out major factors that have surfaced to pump up the substance use is widespread disparity of wealth. This is coupled with rapid transformations that can decline traditional and social association.
While expansion of trade is beneficial for the business, it might also expose the place to various other aspects like smuggling of drugs from other parts of the world like Mexico, Europe, Asia.

There are trauma centers, primary care centers as well as other community settings offer opportunities for much early intervention at much lower risks and substance users.
SBIRT Goals
Enhance the access to care for the individuals with substance use disorders as well as those who are at risk of substance use of disorder.
