The given below are the four major types of organisational framework that may exist in a business such as:
Product/Service: This framework is based on a company’s products and services offered to its customers. In this types of framework, each product or service has its own team accountable for marketing, promotion and selling of products/services.
Functional: This framework is based on various types of departments or functions of a business entity. For instance, it comprises various departments like operations, sells, human resource management, financial management, marketing and advertising etc. Each functional unit or department has to achieve their goals and objectives.
Geographic: This framework is totally based on the geographical or physical location of a company or business entity. As per this, various branches or offices in different locations are set to attain business goals and objectives.
Matrix: This is the combination or mixture of product/service and functional frameworks. According to this, cross-functional team works together on a specific project to attain overall business goals and objectives.
