I have learned that even though women’s all across the world have made tremendous contributions and great strides in whatever they do however, inequality still persists. This bias in people that women are weaker than men is based on a phenomenon by the virtue of which a person is discriminated or judged for their biological gender. It is utterly emerged from orthodox perceptions and traditionally constructed roles for gender.
What I found surprising, the problem of inequality still prevails the world today where women are well educated and career oriented. Moreover, not just men are prejudiced against women leading the projects or task; many women in power are also biased against other women and doubt their ability to perform. Taking reference from “UN study finds almost 90% of men and women are biased against women” (Merelli, A., 2020) there are several inequalities, which are experienced by the working women in the corporates.
