Introduction
As a junior data analyst, the task assigned is to examine the relationship between the median selling price of properties and their size in square feet. The data is given about the real estate county data and we need to select a region randomly and make some analysis based on these selected variables. We will use linear regression technique to complete our analysis. [Include in this section a brief overview, including the purpose of the report.]
Representative Data Sample
The simple random sample is selected using systematic random sampling method to generate a sample of size 30. Since, it is not possible to generate a sample of size 30 for a specific region because for each region there are less than 30 data values for a specific region. So, the sample selected contains data for almost every region. While we randomly selected a region out of 10 regions as New England.
Now, the descriptive statistics for the two selected variables is given as follows:
