3.3-WDD110-assignment Submission Guidelines: When you have completed the lab please save your file as 3.3-WDD110-lastname.jpg and submit via the assignment link. If you are unsure how, please ask your instructor. Directions: Follow the instructions below. 1. Create a new document and draw out a rounded rectangle in whatever color you would like. 2. Apply a dark color to light color linear gradient layer style to the rounded rectangle. 3. Apply a light colored inner glow to the rounded rectangle. 4. Copy the rounded rectangle layer, turn the new layer into a rasterized layer, color it white, and delete half to create the gloss. Make sure and turn down the opacity on this new layer. 5. Duplicate the rounded rectangle again into a new layer, change the color to black, and use free form to create a shadow. Apply a Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur to this shadow layer. 6. Create the separators by using the selection tools to create a 1 pixel wide line of black or white (whichever looks better). Space out a few separators along your button. 03-WDD110-quiz When you have completed the quiz please save your file as 03-WDD110-quiz-lastname.jpg and upload via MLP. 1. In Photoshop create a new file with the exact dimensions: 5” x 7”. (Obviously use inches instead of pixels for your units of measurement. 2. We are creating a postcard. Your postcard should have: a. A background picture of a city (real or fictitious). b. A big/bold main title which will be the name of said city. c. A fictitious slogan about the city. 3. Go to http://www.brusheezy.com. Browse for and download a brush set 2. Create a new image in Photoshop that is 1024x768 3. Import the .ABR file in the brush panel 4. Use some of the following tricks to paint an abstract image using your new brush. · Colors · Blend modes · Additional Layers · Hue/Saturation · Filters · Brush Options · etc… 5. Consider downloading and using additional brushes if necessary. 4.2-WDD110-assignment When you have completed the lab please save your file as 4.2-WDD110-lastname.jpg and upload it via MLP. 1) Go to Google and find an image you’d like to make a texture from. Copy and paste it to a PSD. 2) Using said image create either a “seamless texture” or a “tillable background” using the techniques we’ve seen in class. 3) Once the texture/pattern has been created, apply it over another image (person, place, or thing). a) Use any blend modes, layer styles, or tools you like to put your own spin on the image. b) When you are through, save the file under the instructions listed above.
