This project is to be taken to the appropriate low-level breakdown but not so low that you are talking about pounding one nail into a board (see example). The target number of elements to identify is 30 WBS items. Scenario: My Theater, Inc A new movie theater for "My Theater, Inc" is to be built in a large strip center adjacent to the Bed Bath and Beyond.  You are the team tasked with assessing and then completing a viable project plan based on the following: Parameters of the project: · Required due date - 9 months from today · Expected volume of patrons - 1000 on weekdays, 1500 on weekends · A minimum of two large theaters for showing blockbusters, IMAX, and 3D screenings which have a minimum capacity of 300 seats each and are auditorium style (two level) facilities · At least 8 other theaters with capacities of 150-200 patrons · 2 specialty theaters that have a minimum of 40 reclining lounge seats with small tables at each seat for patrons to bring meals and drinks in right at their seat. · A primary concession stand with standard movie fare and also a specialty foods stand serving high end fare and fancy coffee drinks. There are four “buttering/flavoring” stations located near the primary concession stand and two Coke freestyle machines. · At least one small concession stand near the smaller theaters if the primary stand gets overwhelmed. · Fully carpeted hallways with smooth cement theater flooring to aid in clean-up. · Because My Theater, Inc. is a good corporate citizen, it has committed to using at least 30% recyclable product in the construction of this theater (raw materials for building, plastic laminates, carpet fibers, etc.) · No mandatory requirements to use union labor. · Your instructor will serve as the corporate representative for any design or functional decisions.
