Each student will collect 2 news articles found in 2 different Ontario news sources that are no older than October 1, 2021, covering any topic involving children and/or families. Look for articles written to interest a variety of audiences (government, employers, educators, parents and so on). Each article collected must be included in the bibliography/works cited. Each article must be about different topics. News articles can be hard copy or web-based copy. The assignment consists of three parts. Please pay close attention to the attached rubric for the grading criteria for this assignment.
Part A1. In your own words; summarize each article you collected in two to three paragraphs. Do not include any quotes from the article.2. Discuss who the reporter intends to be the audience of this article.3. Identify the reporter’s purpose (main goal) of writing the article. 4. Include your personal reflection about the articles…what is your thoughts about what the reporter is saying? Include a personal story if you have one. Share how this article relates to your development as an Early Childhood Educator.
Part BIdentify and briefly describe any existing Canadian legislation or emerging social policy regarding each news article that you collected. Discuss any laws, Bills, or public awareness campaigns that relate to the news articles. Describe how this legislation relates to the news article. Remember to reference where you are getting this information from and include it in your bibliograph/works cited..Part CInclude your advocacy letter that you wrote for the advocacy on-line module.
